Q: had the oil changed on the Acura today (car has 117,000 miles and running great), and on the way home noticed the check engine light had come on and is staying on. I got out the manual and tightened the gas cap as advised, check engine light is still on. Please advise?

Electrical / Lighting Systems Malfunction When stopped When warm
Q: car starts misfiring at idle starts slow then it gets worst to the point of turning the engine off. when i try to restart the car it wont restart help
A: have you gave it a good tune up in a while? new plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor? cant get any moisture in the cap either. it could be timing. but if you have electrical ignition, you wont need to time it. in other words, if you have a distributer cap, get it timed too. make sure wires arent touching, or are too close together. try this. it should help, especially if you havent changed the plugs. remember to always buy the high quality parts. best is from the manufacturer. you'll save money in the end and have a better running car.
