Fuel System Won't Start Happens always Always

Q:  My 1991 Audi S2 Coupe Quattro has a problem with the fuel delivery system.

I tried to start the car one morning and it wouldn't start.

The injectors and the spark plugs and they are ok.

I took out the bolt into the fuel admission and there is no gas coming when i try to start the engine. I have now over 50 liters of gas in the tank.

I checked the wires from the fuse panel to the tank and the wires are ok too.

I even used wires from the battery to start the fuel pump, but it didn't start.

Can the fuel pump die just like that? I did not hear any noise before, and the pump was ok before yesterday.

A:  Yes the fuel pump can just quit....if it is not vibrating slightly while cranking the engine and there is electrical power to it... replace it.... Ed
