Electrical / Lighting Systems Malfunction When starting Always
Q: Coil won't fire even when I replaced the coil and bypassed the power leads
A: Remember...the coil fires when the circuit (power) to it is broken. In other words, ground the body, put power to the hot lead, then "break" the hot lead. It should spark. The collapsing field makes the spark.
Electrical / Lighting Systems Malfunction Happens always Always
Q: The headlights (low beam only) and fog lamps do not work when pulling the headlamp switch. The high beams work when turned on (with steering column lever)or flashed. No fuses are blown so I assume it is one of the half dozen relays that is not working, I just don't know which one or how to figure it out as I have no electrical wiring diagram. Any suggestions?

A: Get the needed diagram . Check the lamps to see if an element is burned out . Look for the most simple problem before going after the bigger ones . Lamps do burn out , and in the case of the headlamps , the low beam element generally goes before the high beam one does .
Q: The engine acts as though it's starving for fuel when it
has a load on it.
I replaced the in-tank fuel pump, checked the high pressure
fuel pump off the car, changed the fuel pressure regulator,
changed the spark plugs and wires, and changed the oxygen
sensor.
After changing the O2 sensor the engine "hunts" at idle from
about 1,000 to 2,000 rpm. Thanks, any help is appreciated.
A: Is the catalytic convertor plugged???... If the exhaust can't get out...the fuel can't fill the space left over.....Ed
Q: THE CAR WILL NOT START I DO NOT HAVE A SPARK THE KEY WILL TURN BUT THE ENGINE WILL NOT TURN OVER. I DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS THE FLYWHEEL OR THE COMPUTER WE CHECK THE COIL FUSES AND SPARK PULGS.
A: cars need 3- things to run,air ,spark and fuel, you have air,you checked for spark and if you have it then you have a fuel problem, ther are to many unknowns to narrow it down any better than that
