Q: lokking for information on the air-filter housing
A: well... what info?
if you need to replace it, you might just be better off buying a K&N filter(a cone so no housing...), you will probably spend the same or less, never have to replace the filter and get more power and fuel economy.. think about it.
Q: The left front wheel feels as if it is loose.
When driving, it makes a sort of ratttling sound, and when brakes are applied at above 50 mph, the wheel and steering vibrate. Also it pulls slighty to the left all the time.
A: If you can hold the wheel top and bottom and there is any top to bottom free play, you have a wheel bearing problem....
If no play is felt and no noise when turning the wheel by hand, you may have an out of round brake rotor that needs machining.... Ed
Q: I am geting oil in the water and water in the oil.
The head was straightened, resurfaced and pressure checked for cracks. The block is flat.
Head bolts were not bottoming out.
I honed out the block and did not notice any cracks.
Can a head be bad even though the pressure check
is ok??
Thank for any suggestions.
A: Yes the head can be bad.....
Most machine shops do not have the ability to heat the cylinder head to 150 degrees before checking, and some cracks are either internal or else only show after warmed up....
Also make sure that there is not some form of oil cooler that is in any way part of the cooling system.... Ed
