Q: The car won't start. Plus, I can hear the solenoid spinning when the battery is connected.
And the only way to stop it, is to disconnect the battery.
A: If you remove the starter and study a little before disassembly.... especially the starter drive......
I think the problem will be apparent.... should be jammed in the engaged position, or the starter solenoid is fully engaged, thereby holding the starter drive in..... Ed
