Q: It will run for about 15 to 20 seconds, and then quit.
Why? Any ideas? Thanks
A: Does it restart right away or have to sit for a period of time???... Does it quit like shutting off dead or struggle to die like fuel shortages...Ed

Q: 1995 K1500 4WD 350: Brake lights not working. Light bulbs okay, the taillights, backup lights and turn signals work okay. When brake pedal is pushed there is no voltage on the white stop signal wire at rear of truck. I have traced the white stop signal wire to a junction/relay box under the driver's side of the vehicle. What is this junction/relay box?
A: Additional fuse panel distribution point. May also help seperate the signals for brakes/lights/emerg. flashers etc. Ed

Q: The reverse gear does not work in the transmission.
A: Either the likage is out of adjustment , or the obvious is at fault . Either way , take it to a specialist for transmissions . If it is a simple fix , they can do it quickly and send you on your way . One other problem is there may be an internal hydraulic switch that is sticking . Still , go see the specialist .

Q: While driving down the road, the transmission sounded like it did not want to turn over to overdrive.
When I pulled over to check the fluid/fuses, the truck would not go into reverse. I had to push it out of the parking lot. What would cause this?
A: If the problem continues and it still will not go into reverse, the transmission is baked...

Q: I have transmission fluid leaking from the back of the transmission at the bottom of the shaft for the universal.
Is there a seal that I can replace at home?
By removing the driveshaft?
Or does it need to go to the garage?
The truck is in excellent shape with 63,000 miles on it.
Thanks, Joey.
A: Remove the driveshaft and replace the transmission output seal.
Q: I cannot bleed all the air out of my 1989 Chev C1500 two wheel drive, front disk, rear drum pick-up. The Master cylindar is new, front calipars are new, rear wheel cylindars are new.
I can bleed both front brakes and the rear driver's side but NOT the passergers rear wheel. Large bubbles appear with every press of the brake pedal. No leaks are found anywhere.
I closed all the bleeding screws and tested the pedal and it goes to the floor. At first I did not have the combination valve clamped off but clamping it off did not seem to make any difference.
If fact the other three wheels were sucessfully blead without the combination valve clamped off.
A: start with your rear passenger side wheel and work your way from back to front have someone press the pedal to build up the pressure then hold the pedal and have someone bleed the brakes in rotation as above keep adding brake fluid to the master cylinder as needed you may have to repeat this procedure a couple of times

Q: The left rear wheel is slipping when you turn. Maybe the wheel bearings or could it be rear end grease needs changing?
If the rear end grease does need changing, what type of grease do I need?
Is this a limited slip rear axle or what type on a 1988 4x4 chev truck?
A: Yes it is limited slip, and if you mean the wheel kind of chatters going around corners, you need to flush the differential unit.... also use the proper GM additive with the new gear lube.... Ed
