Q: My car has been stalling while I am driving. As soon as I take my foot off the gas pedal it stalls.It has been doing this for 2weeks. I have taken it to a machanic 3 different times and he can't find the problem. I have replaced the fuel pump , fuel filter & oil sending unit. I have removed the Idle Air Control Valve and cleaned it,then put it back in.In the last week it will not start when it is cold unless I give it gas when I am starting it.Since it is EFI I should not have to give it gas.Also when I come to a stop as soon as I put the brakes on it will stall unless I quickly put it into Neutral and give it a little gas.Any advice or HELP would be appreciated. A: Clean the throttle bore/blade with throttle body cleaner. Check for vacuum leaks, egr valve hanging up.
If it chugs to a stall when braking, have the tcc in trans diagnosed.(torque converter clutch)
Still could be iac, did you clean its bore also.

Q: I have change my fan relay switch and the switch for the fan and it still doesn't work. I was told to look on the fire wall for a switch the number on it would be 10038311 but I don't remember where I was told to look for it.

Q: My Celebrity was running sluggishly for a couple of weeks. One day as I pulled into a gas station it stalled. I thought that I must have run out of gas. I pushed it up the tank and put gas in. It still wouldn't start. I got it towed home, used some spray-start (the stuff you spray in the air-filter) it would turn over, catch and then stall. Now, I'm no mechanic but I'm thinking that its the fuel filter or the fuel pump. I'm desperately hoping for the cheaper of the two. Any ideas????

Q: I just put a new battery in my son's car and noticed when driving with him, the alternator charging gauge is registering on the low side.
It's not in the yellow warning area but low. On the previous battery which was six years old, it was always dead center at 13amps.
My son says the gauge has been registering low for a month now. I think it actually has been a week now. Is this low reading a function of a new battery not needing a lot of recharging or an alternator problem? I suspect the latter is the case but not sure.

Q: Would you happen to have a diagram of how the serpentine belt is put on?
A: Should be a decal under the hood. Also the smooth pulleys run against the smooth part of the belt and the grooved pulleys run in the belt grooves. Ed

Q: I have a heavy duty braking system and I am replacing front brks, I have gotten the calipers off, but all is left is the disk.
I can't seem to get the axle nut off(tight), I was told that I don't need to remove this and that the disk should come right off with out taking this off.
This nut is about 36MM and comes out the center of the disk. Please any advice would be appreciated.
A: I take a screwdriver and stick it in the fins of the rotor and pull on it while I am tapping the rotor with a hammer (TAPPING) also use som wd-40 around the hub (where the rotor meets the nut area). Good luck.
Q: My catalyic conveter got real hot, it glowed, found out that a fan thing that is located on drivers side in vender well is not working, need this part what is the name and the cost of this part, We know it also has something to do with the brakes, It's like a type of air pump!

All Part Groups Won't Start Happens always When cold
Q: The engine begins to turn but never actually gets started. Day's before it stopped working it had been having a hard time driving after it got started. First it would turn off immediately after I would touch the gas pedal to help get it warmed up. Then it just stopped working.

Q: the car turns over and starts but it will not stay running. the car will make a ticking sound afte being turned over in the carberator. the engine is a 2.6 6cyc odometer reads 36,500, i am not sure if it has turned over.
