A:  If the fluid level is correct. You have a seal leak. Try a good quality additive to see if you can soften the seals and o-rings for better sealing. Ed

Q:  The turn signals won't work on my 1991 Astro. All other lights work fine. Is there a signal module and where is it located?


A:  There are two signal flashers located in the fuse panel. Turn on the 4 way flashers. You'll be able to feel it click. The broken one is not that one....... Ed

Heating / Cooling System Won't Start Happens always Not applicable

Q:  The rear air doesn't work, and the switch for rear air seems to be hot... Is there a separate fan motor in the rear? Do you know of a Chilton or other manual would help with problem determination? I've found the rear air information is not in the standard Chilton manual for G20 Van. I appreciate your time.


A:  Most local libraries have a variety of info stored for all vehicles.... the switch getting hot tells me that the system is at least trying to opperate..... Ed

Q:  We changed the steering gear box on the 85 chevy van,and now when you turn right the wheels go left?? Please help what did we do?


A:  Yikes... the only thing that comes to mind is the pitman arm - the link that bolts onto the bottom of the steering box. If it is supposed to face forward instead of backwards before joining it to the linkage that operates the wheel turning linkage.....good luck....Ed
