Q: engine diesels when turned off ,lack of power,and weird grinding or rubbing sound.the car also has very high idle when tooken out of gear

A: Turning your idle down may help the dieseling. Sometimes the idle is turned up due to another problem though; such as low oil pressure at idle because of increaed clearance in the bearings, or carburator problems.
Q: I have installed a vortec v-8 crate motor in my car, I put a road deamon carb. on it(625cfm). The car runs great except when you accelerate hard. It back fires and misses etc. If you just push down easy it works just fine and goes like stink! I have a mallory dist. in it,and have tried another but it didnt help. one last thing,when I put in new plugs it's fine for about 5 miles then the condition returns.
A: Check back in the specs of the Mallory..you have the spark plug gap set wrong.....Ed
Electrical / Lighting Systems Malfunction Happens always Always
Q: None of my interior lights work, my fuse is blown and when i put a new one in it just blows out right away.
I guess there is a short somewhere, but how do I know where it is?
A: Long shot here... check the cigarette lighter... maybe a coin in it or something causing the short..... difficult to troubleshoot this from here... Ed
