Q: I just aquired grandfathers 1946 chevy, and the title is no where to be found. the V.I.N. plate is hard to read and the can't read the last part of the serial number.
The tag is out-of-date and can't be tracked down because it has been taken out of the system. the tag agent advised that there was another spot that they had the V.I.N. number stamped on the vehicle, if anyone knows that location i would be very grateful if you share that knowledge.
thanks chris, OK
A: V.I.N. numbers in the older vehicles are usually found in the glove box, near the fuse housing. I have also been able to find in the trunk or in the engine compartment. Most likely you will find in the glove box. Have u checked inside the panel of the drivers door?
