When turned lock to lock, sound does not
get louder, except when against lock.
fluid looks good, don't have burnt smell.
what makes a pump whine ?
A: Either low on fluid or air in the fluid. Add some GM lubricity to the fluid. Ed
Electrical / Lighting Systems Malfunction Happens always Always
Q: When turning my lights on, the dash lights for the gauge panel would go out after about 10 minutes. Then they wouldn't even come on. All other illumination lights worked fine. After a few weeks all the gauges, including speedometer, RPM, oil pressure etc., quit working. I have checked the fuses and they seem fine. Any idea in what direction to start? I bought the car used and it does not have an owner's manual.
A: If this is the electronic dash, you need to get the accurate diagnostic information (as guessing is very expensive). If it is the standard dash set, it sounds a lot like a poor electrical connection or poor ground connection at the back of the gauge cluster. Ed
