Q: The car needs to be flooded to start, and will stay running (barely) when I come to a stop or turn - but only if I put it in neutral to get through it.
The car backfires if i hit the gas to hard.... it tries to stall out constantly... What can I do?
A: If this is only when thee car is cold and while warming up, the most likely cause is the choke not closing properly....
If it always happens, the most common cause would be the choke flap not opening... Ed
Q: I did a 2bbl to 4bbl swap on a 1978 360. The 2bbl throttle cable bracket will not work for the 4bbl setup.
What are the part numbers for a new throttle cable bracket, kickdown rod and transmission rod?
A: Go to a junk yard and find one with a 4 barrel carb and get the right bracket! Do not mickeymouse it because your throttle could stick
(TRUST ME IM THE KING OF ALL rigging. If it could be done I would figure it out.
