A: I don't know how much you know about working on cars, but you can go to a local autozone and get a Haynes repair manual for your car and it has specific instructions and they usually only cost about 15 bucks and are based on a complete tear down and rebuild of your car
Q: The light is getting dimmer and dimmer after starting the car. Afterwards, it will only make a cracking noise when starting the car and it won't start anymore.
A: You need to check the charging system. Alternator output etc. Ed
Q: On my 2+2 liter engine, it will hesitate or lose power. Sometimes it occurs on a hill, other times, just driving down the road.
A: One of the problems with this car was the rubber mount that connects the carb to the intake manifold....
It lets a lot of unnecessary air in, instead of the gasoline that's needed to make power....
Spray a carb cleaner fluid down around this area, and if the engine speed increases or changes and/or smoke from the tail pipe, take it apart and replace it.... Ed
