Q: I have a 'brand-new' 1999 Super Cargo Van, E-250, with 3.73 ratio limited slip differential and would like to covert to 3.73 ratio locking differential. Would appreciate info about parts required to change over. Thank you so much. Clark
A: in order to change it over you will need to replace the carrier assembly

A: Any FORD dealer service department should be able to copy the spec page of their service manual for you--I know we do it all the time for our customers

Q: rear leaf spring support has rotted
A: Replace with a new support. You should be able to pick one up at a junk yard pretty cheap. If neccessary use a propane torch to loosen the nut(s) and bolts. You could also try WD-40 to penetrate and loosen them.
