Q: I need an Indicator assembly and horn for a Canadian Series F-100, with the steering column on the right hand side of the truck. I have the part number, as far as I know it was DOTD-13341-B (BP). If you have the part, can you please sell it to me, or please tell me where to get it? The restoration job is in Australia and I really want to get it done as it has been much heartache. Chris
A: Chris.. check through the Auto Recyclers section..... Ed

Q: Shifting through p r n d d1 d2, the column will not engage the transmission. I can go through the gears fine from under the hood at the linkage. Is there a replceable part in the column or does the whole column need to be replaced?
A: I think you'll need to replace the entire column. The center parts of the column are hard to find seperately.
Q: Can you suggest why it won't start when it's cold outside?
The engine only has 75,000 miles on it. Thank you.
A: Choke/ choke/ choke and then some more choke... It's not working....
Take the air filter housing off when cold and see that the flap in carb top is falling closed.... Ed

Q: i need a steering gear box for a 69 f-100. the problem is mine has the bendix model that is twice as rare (and expensive) would i be able to use the ford model? if so what would i have to change, if anything?
A: They shoulb be completely interchangable. I have a 71xlt that I just changed.
Q: It has a 223 engine. The second and fourth push rods (starting from the front of the engine) do not move up and down when the engine is running. All the others do.
Are both of these for intake valves for cylinders 1 and 2? Those valves remain closed when the engine is running. It's rather hard for me to believe that these two cams have worn round while the others have not.
The engine has 112,000 miles on it. I'd very much appreciate your thoughts or ideas. If I have to replace the camshaft, how do I access it? Thanks again for your help.
A: First of all , why ? Second , it is generally press fit into the block . Not very likely that it is a screw in device . So , if it is a press fit , try cooling it down to make it shrink enough so that it will come loose . Best bet , try dry ice . Just be careful not to be overcome by the carbondioxide that dry ice is made of and do not touch it with your bare hands . Do not use any liquid gasses , the freeze problems to you are very bad , and it could damage the metal of the engine .
