It was bought new and only has 10,000 miles on it. It has not been started for about a year. We have had it parked in an RV park for some time. It is a ford 460 engine,
A: NEED MORE INFO. DOES IT MAKE ANY NOISE WHEN TRYING TO CRANK? IF SO WHAT KIND? DOES EVERY THING SEEM TO WORK OTHER THAN THE CRANKING PROBLEM? HAVE YOU CHECKED THE GROUND CABLES? COULD BE SIMPLE AS BAD CONNECTION OR MAYBE A FUSIBLE LINK.
Q: Rear fuel tank is pushing fuel into the front fuel tank causing it to overflow.
Recently I have been having problems getting full power, when the engine is under load, when I use the front fuel tank.I stopped using it and have only been using the rear one.this has been working fine.
When I got home today I smelled gas and looked at the side of my truck,It was covered with gas and the front tank was overflowing.
Thanks in advance for any info or help!
Sincerely, Bertman
A: Take it to a dealer, there has been a recall out for several years on this problem. Just got a note on this the other day, Ford is covering the cost of the repair on an extended basis, but I'm not sure for exactly how long so don't wait.
