Engine Making Noise Happens always Always

Q:  There is a rattling / chugging sound coming from the engine compartment, around the area of the cam belt. The sound gets worse at higher revs. This sound has been getting steadily worse over the last 500 miles

A:  Sounds like the timing belt is getting ready to break. The tensioner is probably shot also. Fix is now! Engine damage can occur if a belt breaks while it is runnung.

Brake System Making Noise When driving Always

Q:  Squeaking Breaks

A:  The brakes are glazed. This can be helped with some hard braking; to the point of almost skidding, but don't skid them. Richie

All Part Groups Other Not applicable Not applicable

Q:  Wild kids bashed rear-on into my '84 Ford Fiesta. Its hindquarters are sprung, part of it rubs a rear tire, door won't properly close, driver's window is gone, etc. Is anyone elsewhere interested in it's parts? Parts-people here in Spokane aren't. What do you do with a dead car, bury it?

A:  If no one is prepared to pay money for what's left..... dispose of it as cheaply as possible..... give it to a wrecking yard perhaps... Ed
