Chassis / Suspension & Steering Other Happens always Always

Q:  I have a '72 Mach 1 that needs a lot of work. For example, the rear frame rails are rusted to the point of needing replacment, also floor pans, door skins, hood, etc.... Is it possible to use square tubing for the rear rails and make a solid frame or should I stick to the OEM replacement rails?

A:  If the OEM replacement rails are available, use them for accuracy and efficiency....... Square tubing will work but may cause a problem especially in a certification situation (accident investigation)....Ed
