Q: When I turn on my parking lights, my dash turn signal indicators light up. The lights still work properly, but I get shocked when I get out. When I take out the front indicator bulbs, the problem is solved, but I have no turn signals in the front. Please guide me to the solution.
A: Sounds like you have dual element bulbs in the signal lights and should have single ones.... Ed

Q: All the gears in transmission make it go forward, even in reverse.
In neutral, it's very hard to move the gear shift back and forth.
It acts like it's stuck in fifth gear.
A: I think the gear shift rod has become seperated inside the transmission housing.....
If you can remove the shift tower without taking the transmission out..... worth a try if you have the tools and info locally..... Ed
Heating / Cooling System Malfunction Happens always Always
Q: The air from the blower only comes out at the bottom vents (heater vents). I believe it has something to do with the vacuum but my GMC Owner's Manual(3 separate books) doesn't have a vacuum system diagram. Could you help me troubleshoot this problem before I rip-off the dash? Thanks
A: You need to locate the vacuum diagram......
All lines start and end at locations specified in the diagrams. The auto designers make it so you should not need to tear the dash apart..... Ed
Electrical / Lighting Systems Malfunction When driving When warm
Q: after driving the almost same distance the service engine light comes on and it sort of misses. If I hammer it hard it doesn't come on and don't miss. But a steady mph it comes on almost in the same place within 1/2 mile.
