Engine Malfunction When driving Always

Q:  Something seems to be a pinging/clunking under the hood. Higher octane gas does not help. Only when accelerating 1/2 to 3/4 throttle from 20-30 mph. Timing good. Jet chip installed.


A:  The jet chip needs timing different than stock settings...... try playing with the settings..... Ed

Q:  Weaves from left to right.


A:  Well, you should take it to get an alignment. If it's ok then you should check some clips that the front brake lines have, they tend to rust and pinch the line shut. If that's the case, simply pull them open to allow the brake fluid to flow. These clips are screwed to the chassis.

Q:  I am wondering where the fuel pump on a 1990 Chevy Suburban is and if it is reltively easy to replace ourselves.


A:  I believe its located in the fuel tank. Not easy replacement.
