Q:  I have replace engine, Troubleshoot replacing ignition module, main computer and still the check engine light is still on and there is still no sustainable power to move truck. According to diagnostic computer. Multiple missfire or leak.

A:  Check the distributor rotor and cap for cracks also the spark plug and wires. Misfire is usually a timing issue as well. Make sure you are at the right ignition timing setting.

All Part Groups Won't Start Happens sometimes Not applicable

Q:  When I start the truck the ignition just goes click. I try a few more times, then it starts up. When it won't start, all electrical devices work so I assume it is not the battery. What could it be?

A:  The Starter solenoid has brass contact buttons in it that need to be replaced. Ed

Windows / Glass Other Not applicable Not applicable

Q:  The rear passenger power window in my 1995 Honda Passport 6 cyl. Suddenly stopped working and I cant' close the window. Could the motor have just gone out like that or could it be the relay? Also, until I can get it repaired, how can I close the window?

A:  It's the same relay for all the windows so it could be either the switch, or the motor. Take off the panel and check is the only way. Ed

Electrical / Lighting Systems Malfunction Happens always Always

Q:  All other lights are working (i.e. headlights, brake lights, rear turn signals, parking lights, front turn signals The Fog Lights and the Signal Lights (not next to fog light) work only on the left side of the vehicle. I've changed the light bulb and the assembly unit, but both don't do much good. What do you think?

A:  I,m no Honda expert but I,ll try. :)
Quite often I have seen the left and right side controled by two seperate fuses, check that first. Failing that I would look for a ground problem. (ie. the ground wire from the malfunctioning light is corroded or rusted), if that is the case disconnect it and clean both connections with a wire brush or steel wool. If this doesn't help any Email me at E_lope@excite.com.
