Interior Components Upgrade Not applicable Not applicable

Q:  Im having trouble taking out my stero, i sort of get the front black thing off but alot of wires are still connected to the back of all my panels and stuff. and i cant seem to dissconnect all the wires. Help me please.

A:  A lot of times, power/retractable antennas are hardwired into the stereo as well as some other wires that the factory did so that you would have to take it in and have it professionally done. IF your car has a power/retractable antenna, then the wire coming out of the stereo should connect to another wire down behind the dash a little ways. If you have no idea what the hard wired....uh... wires are, then i guess you should go to a store and buy a manual for your car(they give instructions on the stereos)

hope i could help :) NCEastern

Heating / Cooling System Malfunction When driving Always

Q:  car over heats every couple of blocks.had waterpump replaced had thermostat replaced.it still over heats.

A:  Pull radiator cap off and make sure it is full of antifreeze/water before you start it, after fill the radiator up with water leave the rediator cap OFF! Have some one start the vehicle if possible and you watch the "Neck" of the radiator (where you just added water) watch the neck and if you see "BUBBLES" coming out at a somewhat steady pace (could happen when cold, but more than likely gets worst as it gets hotter) you have a blown head gasket and/or cracked head....I hope I am not right but by the description it seems to be the answer.
Thanks
Dwayne

Ignition System Other When driving Always

Q:  At 60,000 miles, the timing belt broke and the car has not run well since.

At 101,000 miles, the car suddenly developed severe problems with power and starting.

It sputters and backfires into the exhaust and sounds like the #4 cylinder is not firing.

I get spark to all four cylinders, but noticed when I pull the plug wire on the #4 while running, it arcs to the head while it's being pulled free.

The arc is jumping about an inch. Is it possible the coil is malfuncting? Thanks

A:  I don't thinks so as the coil has no idea what cylinder it is firing.... possible burnt valve...... Also the new belt 40,000 miles ago may be installed a tooth out of alignment...... Ed

Fuel System Chugging When accelerating Always

Q:  When we drive it it seems to lose power and then gain power... it doesn't matter what gear we're in... it often times will die at stop signs... we especially lose power going up hills... we can be going 60mph up a hill and by the time we're half way up we'll be down to 48-50mph... a mechanic we know told me to start by changing out the fuel filter because he thinks it may be partially plugged... I bought a new fuel filter, but it is different than any other I've seen before... where is the fuel filter on this vehicle?... how do I change it?... and if that doesn't fix it, what could it be? Appreciate any help I can get... thanks!

A:  Check the Mass Air Sensor sounds like that could be your problem.
