Q:  Where can I find an inexpensive/used soft top that won't cost me a lot of money? I have searched high and low. If you don't know of any, how about some suggestions for repairing the one I have.

Ignition System Malfunction When starting Always

Q:  90% of the time when I go to start the truck, the ignition will click as if the battery is dead, but then it starts around the 3rd or 4th try.

The battery is good. The wires leading to the starter are tight and the battery cables are tight and clean.

The clutch has to be pushed all the way to the floor to start. The engine may crank with no problem for 2 or 3 days and then it starts to click again.


A:  Starter contact buttons in ther solenoid are pitted and burned. Ed

Q:  My Amigo idles at roughly 2,500 rpms. And when you turn the wheel all the way, it stalls. The person that had the vehicle before me really messed up the whole car and i've been fixing it up for 4 months now. I was thinking about getting a new carb, but that would set me back a good amount of money. Is there anything i should check before i just go and buy a new carb?


A:  Check to see if the power steering belt is too tight, or if the pump is binding up.
