Heating / Cooling System Malfunction When driving Always

Q:  When in vent, or a/c mode, apparently not enough vaccum to keep air door open when climbing grade Door returns to proper position when grade levels off, and accelerator is feathered to maintain speed. Is there an accumilator tank to prevent this ?


A:  You probably don't need an accumulator tank. Your Commanche is fromm 88 and that was a bad year for rubber hose. Check to see that the supply hose from the engine is not corroded or detached from the system.
