Drive Train / Driveline Malfunction When driving When warm
Q: No warning signs... The overdrive just stopped engaging.. Can drive in low and drive, but if in overdrive or shift up to overdrive.
Can start out in overdrive but it won't speed up. There isn't any pull, it just powers up like its in neutral. Any ideas?

Q: When I start up the car, it goes to about 1000 rpms to warm up. after about 15 seconds or so, the car starts to idle down to around 600 rpms to an idle. When i give it a minute or maybe less, the engine will start reving, like it's starved of something. Odviously the computer is going to try to keep it alive, so it does. The car will rev up a little and drop reapededly, untill it drops soo low the engine stops. I had a sujjestion that the spark plug cables should be replaced. just replaced the oil filter, oil, spark plugs, distributer and cap, gas filter line, added fluids, added injector cleaner to gas, motor mounts. Car drives fine, it's just when it idles, it might just die. Battery if fully charged. I am kindof sceptical about the alternator. But, the battery is staying charges, so i guess not. I also have a feeling someing might be wrong witht he gas filter in some way, or something is clogged but, i've already ran a quarter of a tank with ignitor stuff. Starts up every time. Last two times i tried it, i needed to pump the gas to get it to start. Started one time after another. Had to pump both times. This is where i came up with the idea about the gas. Any comments will help. Currently i'm pobably going to replace the spark plug cables, because they will help. next i'm replacing the air filter. it's in ok condition. Thanks.
A: your carb may be junk if i was you being an older car replace it with a better carb and take the brain out of the equasion
you dont realy need it just run pure motor
no 02 sensors no nothing a little more brain work to rid the brain but worth it
