Electrical / Lighting Systems Malfunction When driving When warm
Q: while driving the car the abs lite on dash comes on then the srs lite comes on then everything starts to dim then the engine stops and won't start, the battery is drained
A: Sounds like you aren't getting enough power.
The SRS and ABS monitor the available power.
You likely need to clean the battery terminals, replace the battery and/or replace the alternator.

Q: I dropped a valve in my #1 cylinder. The piston
is fryed, the head is fryed also. The good thing is; the cylinder wall and the crank are
fine. Should I try to replace them or find a complete engine. thanx 4 your help.
A: The miles on the engine will help you decide. If very low, repair what you have. If very high. Get a complete low miller. Ed
Q: Need to know what steps need to be complete in order to make the 93 Engine compatible to the replace the 87 engine.
A: remove the original engine and place it alongside the '93. Compare and note differences and swap all parts from the '93 that are not compatible with the old one.
Ignition System Won't Start When starting When cold
Q: My car won't start in the morning. I need about 10 starting cycles to start the car. After the first starting, I received a gas odor. THANKS
A: You may have an "overnight" fuel leak that bleeds down the residual pressure..... Try cycling the key on and off 3 times before actually cranking to start....... Ed
Q: Have 86 MB 300e runs very rich, won't pass emissions, high hc & co. Have changed o2 sensor, plugs, wires, rotor, cap & cat. have tested cyl head temp sensor, cold start injector, leaned air fuel mix, car starts and runs fine, no misses etc. Although gas consumption is aprox 15mpg.

A: I would be checking the fuel pressures from cold all the way through to fully warm and compare them to spec.....
Also the fuel pressure regulator and the pressure relief valve could cause this.... if the injectors are plugged and not spraying in a cone shaped mist, this will also contribute to the problem........ Ed
