Smog pump makes ringing sound when at cold start for three minutes. Any suggestions?
A: Depending on the number of miles on this engine... the lifters may be bleading down overnight...
However, you need to be using a good quality 15w40 oil and a quality oil filter.... The discount house products are not always the same spec as top quality.....
The smog pump ringing is expensive to replace for those 15 seconds, unless it sounds like it about to seize up or come apart in some fashion....
