Q: There is a vibration during deceleration from 50 or above. Looking for advice...
A: If you feel the vibration more in the steering wheel, the front brake rotors are out of round....
If more in the seat of your pants, the rear brake drums are out of round...
It is possible to have both problems at the same time.... Ed
Drive Train / Driveline Malfunction When driving When cold
Q: When coming to a stop, the car down shifts to low with a definite jolt and slight clunking noise, apparently from the transmission. Is this reasonable? The jolt/noise is more pronounced when the car is cold.
A: probably your tourque converter which is much less expensive to have replaced than a whole transmission
Ignition System Won't Start When starting Not applicable
Q: When starting engine it is not turning. There is a clicking sound coming from the under glove box. Started ok twice earlier, but presently won't start.
A: Probably the brass starter contacts in the starter solenoid. Ed
