Drive Train / Driveline Other Not applicable Always

Q:  How do you remove the oil filter without also removing most of the flesh from your hands? I purchased a "cap-type" filter wrench, but had a devil of a time removing the filter and ended up spilling oil down the side of the crankcase into the splash pan and ended up like the Exxon Valdez. Is there an easier way? The engine is the 2.4 liter with a/c. Thanks

A:  Some of the vehicles of today's marketplace are designed silly. They design them with a CAD computer program without much foresight. The spilled oil into the bellypan is pretty common. Ed

Q:  Customer Complaint: Vehicle just died while slowing down to a stop light..would not restart. We replaced: Intake ignition coil, it runs but severe stumble or sag on acceleration. Replaced cap, rotor, wires, plugs, both ignition coils and transistors. Verified fuel pressure and volume. Still stumbling....Any ideas? Thank YOU!

A:  check the 2 wire connector to the ignition module. It may come loose causing intermittent ignition shutdown. replace and tie down connector to prevent vibration.
