Electrical / Lighting Systems Other Happens always Not applicable
Q: My vehicle is a 1984 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser.
My problem is when I go to hook the battery up, I'm getting juice back from the starter. It gets hot enough to melt the post on the battery. The positive post sparks when I try to hook-up to the battery as well. Any ideas on what the problem could be would be greatly appreciated.
A: Sounds like the starter is shorted out. Or the possitive cable is grounded to the chassis. Ed
