Electrical / Lighting Systems Malfunction When driving When warm

Q:  Alternator does not charge, i would like to know the location of the fuse so i can check it before changing alternator. Can you help?

A:  start motor; hold screw driver to alternator pulley; if screw driver attaches to pulley the alternator is charging; if screw driver does not attract to pulley then diods in alternator are burnt out. Go to a reputable parts store and they will check the charging system for free usually. This is truly the quickest and easiest way to check on such a problem.

Q:  No matter what temperature I set the TempMatic control lever to it blows full max hot air almost continuously. The only exception to this is under full throttle opertation (vacuum related?) either passing or accelerating uphill it will blow outside temperature but as soon as you return to partial throttle or idle it reverts to full hot air blowing from the vents.

A:  Check the ac systems vacuum lines for a leak.
