Drive Train / Driveline Malfunction When driving Not applicable
Q: When driving my van, sometimes I can feel it becoming sluggish, and it does not accelerate when I step on the gas. Then the "Service Engine Soon" light comes on. Then the van starts to limp for a while, and then sometimes, it acts normal for a bit, while the "Service Engine Light" is on. I took it to the mechanic when the light was on, they put on the scanner and the following codes appeared:
Please tell me :
1) if I need to have a part replaced
2) how much would the part cost
3) how long does it take to install the part
4) should I have a dealership fix it; or a mechanic at a small shop.
A: These are quad driver codes....
The drivers are part of the computer and it is rare for the computer to blame itself...
Have the system checked again for stored codes and diagnose the system indicated properly by who ever you feel most comfortable with..
