Plymouth Cuda

1974 Plymouth Cuda

Engine Vibration Not applicable Always

Q:  Hi, I am Roger from Texas. I have a 1974 Cuda with a 318 and 904 auto. I have a vibration at 700 rpm to 1100 rpm. Outside of those rpms, it seems to quit. I am thinking of harmonic balancer or torque convertor. Any suggestion?

A:  The harmonic balancer on these cars had a rubber slip joint between the inner and outer rings..... not only threw you off setting the timing, but caused a vibration too..... Ed
