Q:  I can turn my steering wheel back and forth for about 2.5 inches before the wheels turn on my 1973 Plymouth Roadruner with power steering. Is this play in the steering gear and can it be adjusted out at the lock nut and top screw? It's a fairly new rebuilt gear. Thanks


A:  Tom..... yes, you adjust it that way.... just make sure the wheels are in the straight ahead position first..... Good luck with your Roadrunner..... Ed

A:  In the 1600 to 1700 rpm range..... the original hemi one was about 2700 rpm, and it works well with the launch....... Ed
