Q: Car has no heat, only mildly warm air, will over heat unless defroster is running, ildes roughly like fast then slow....changed themostat and checked heater core...not losing coolant! help.
A: Chaeck to make sure the radiator is not plugged...... The idle is probably the idle air control motor needs servicing..... Ed
Q: I have changed the thermostat but the temp needle still swings to hot and stays there but it doesnt seem to be overheating what could it be ? there is no oil in the radiator and no water in the oil so the head gaskit is ok could it be the sensor?
A: Sounds like the sensor as long as the car is not actually overheating.. Just the gauge seems to think so......... Ed

Q: i have a 1993 plymouth sundance, and it didn't come from the factory with a tach, but i bought one off of another car. I got the whole cluster and its all mounted and everything, but how do you hook up the tach? i see that there is a slot on the back of the cluster for the tach, and i have a hookup in my wiring harness that looks like it'll fit, but there are no wires in it. if that hookup isn't right, can i just run wires from the back of the tach to the place on the motor? and if so, where do they go? thanks a lot
A: The cluster should plug right in and work. The car is already wired for it.
Q: Starting today, the engine refused to start properly. The starter would turn over the engine, but it wouldn't catch. The first time, I put down some gas and it managed to start. Then, while driving, the engine began to sputter, and stalled out. After that it refused to start again. It's hot outside, and the engine runs warm. It has close to 86,000 miles on it, and it's the original engine.
A: I would check the ignition side.... Find out if there is spark available at the spark plugs when no start.
If there is, then the problem is fuel..... Either fuel pump or fuel pressure / distribution..... Ed
