Drive Train / Driveline Malfunction When driving When warm

Q:  I am attempting to change the inner cv boot (driver's side) on my 1994 plymouth voyager (3.0 engine). Do I need to remove the knuckle assembly to remove the driveshaft assembly. Thanks, John

A:  Steering Knuckle? Nope. Separate the lower ball joint from the knuckle, pull the strut assembly with the knuckle still attached outward and pull the outer joint and stub axle out of the hub. There is no retaining clip on the inner stub shaft in the trans. the axle should pull out easily by hand.
