Ignition System Malfunction Happens always Always

Q:  My ignition key is "STUCK" in the ignition. When I try to turn the ignition to the "off" position, it will not go.

When I place the car (automatic) in park and turn off the ignition, it will only turn back as far as "accessory". Will not let me turn key all the way to "off" position.

So am unable to remove key from ignition. Any idea how to fix this problem ?

thanks, Pete Horner

A:  It sounds like you need to replace the ingition key assembly. I had that happen before on another vehicle because the detent on the end of the assembly failed. If you leave it in this dis-repair, it will not be long before you will not be able to start the car.
