Q: I thought it was bad gas. 1.8l dohc 16v engine. Its blowing black smoke sometimes. Could be from the fuel system cleaner I put in the tank?
Erratic idle and sometimes won't stay running. I checked everything except the spark plugs because i dont know how to remove the boots without damaging them.
I think it may be the timing is off or it is missing??
A: Check the fuel pressure regulator. If it's using a lot of gas and blowing black smoke, could be. Many fuel injector problems are pressure related.
