Q: Bent brand new brake pad on the driver side inside has new hub and new bearings.
Wheel seems to shift to a different position on hard curves.
Is it a bad brake pad or something else?
A: Braking is a function of friction... if one side has less friction created then the car will pull to the other side.... a lot of times it is because one rotor has a different or not newly machined surface... Ed
Ignition System Won't Start Not applicable Not applicable
Q: I don't know if I was clear or not on the last question I asked. My car won't start, I checked the distributor cap which is new, seems fine, I checked the fuses under my hood in the black box and 1 was blown, bought a new one but still did not start, where is the module (timing maybe)at. Someone told me that that could be the problem. Is it under the distributor cap or below the distributor cap.
A: Tracy..first check to see if the car is power at the spark plugs...if so...probable fuel problem....if no spark...definete ignition problem...divides possibilities in half right away....Ed
Q: Happens only when engine is cold. When starting,
engine turns over many times before firing-up.There is usually a flood smell with a small cloud of dark blue smoke. Engine sputters a little for a few seconds and then runs fine until engine is cold again. Still has plenty of
power throughout acceleration and does't miss at idle. I have cleaned intake, replaced plugs,
cap, rotor button and wires. No help!I did a system diagnosis. The error message said "A/C signal or circuit/ throttle sensor/ or ECU.
Can you give me any advise on a cure?
A: Tech Serv Bulletin reports updated ECU to correct this same exact problem. Until then, just turn the car on five mins before ya drive it anywhere in the morning... Save ya a good 500 bucks.
