Fuel System Won't Start When starting Not applicable
Q: The motor will not turn over. The ignition lights will come on but it will not crank, not even a sound. Could it be the fuel pump or the ignition coil?
A: It could be the battery....... also the neutral safety switch........E d
Electrical / Lighting Systems Chugging When accelerating When cold
Q: It started hesitating when cold. Winter mornings here are 30-50f. and wet.
It has plenty of power and acceleration at all speeds when warmed up.
Now I have to warm it up at least 30 seconds to keep from hesitating.
What can I do to stop this hesitiation?
A: Check that the choke is working properly first...
Also, make sure that warm air is getting to the carb in these cold weather conditions.....
Otherwise the carburetor ices up, and stalling and hesitating happen.... Ed
Q: I PURCHASED AN 83 CRESSIDA. IT STARTS AND RUNS AS LONG AS I SPRAY STARTING FLIUD INTO THE THORLLE BODY.
IT WILL NOT RUN ON IT,S OWN FUEL SYSTEM.
I'VE CHECKED THE FUEL PUMP AND IT IS WORKING.

A: Check the pressure. You need a certain amount of pressure.
Interior Components Making Noise Happens always Always
Q: This 83' Cressida I just bought has a sort of clicking sound that comes from what maybe the steering column. It clicks intermittently only so often and for a short time, then it stops.
Not sure what it would be, so I am asking. Hope you can help!
