Ignition System Won't Start When stopped When warm
Q: As soon as I stop the engine, ie. a gas station, and try to start the engine again, all I hear is a "click" noise.
My starter system is fine, the alternator system is fine, and my battery is fine.
The lights DO go completely out when the key is turned. My repair manual said the starter gear could be hung up on the flywheel, but the remedie to that didn't work - put it in third gear and rock it backwards until the fan starts to spin -
thanks
A: The problem can be cured by wiring in a starter solenoid (Ford type) right next to the original starter and using 10 gauge wire to provide the extra ooompf from the battery to the original solenoid.. Ed
