BMW 740i

2000 BMW 740i Interior Components   

Hello!
My name is Anna. And I have a 2000 740 i bmw.A little time ago the sound went off after I got it painted,As my mechanic said,we had to replace de amplifier. but now, when I turn the radio on,the sound goes off after a minute or two. unless I go to the DSP button and I hit one of the equalizer selections. Once that I do that, the sound is on , but the volume does not work until I turn the radio off and on again and I do the same hole thing. Also the cd is not working, when I select the cd option it says NO MAGAZINE althouh it is in.
Please!!!!please!!! any advise???????

It sounds to me that you may have a bad connection somewhere in the system and also another problem with the cd and magazine.
You must first get the radio cd unit replaced or repaired so that you know the radio display is recognizing the cd and then tackle a possible wiring problem.
Take it one step at a time, the radio change-out or repair may in fact take care of the other problems.
If it is not the factory installed system let me know, If it is I can retrieve a wiring color code for the conections
