ihave converted 50 chev 6volts to 12 volts i need to showwire 12 volt alt to car it has built in reg if you can show me a wireing diagram

I usually use one of the common 1 wire alternators available, from Powermaster and others.1 wire to batt is all that is required.
If you want to use the one you have, they are also similarly easy to wire.Screw on terminal uses 10 guage wire to battery +pos.
The two prong connector gets one wire to the ignition switch "access" terminal.If you mistakenly hook it to the IGN terminal, you might get a car that will not shut off, as the alt will feed direct to ignition.So it can go to ACCESS terminal on ignition switch only. On the alternator, it is the terminal (on two prong plug) that is NEAREST to the positive screw on terminal. The other terminal (far one from pos terminal) gets a short jumper wire to the pos terminal on alt.
I have used this system on several vintage cars with no problem.

You will have to find a voltage reducer or resistor to drop the voltage from 12 to 6 volts.It is different if it is a volt guage or amp guage
