1994 Chrysler Sundance Engine Chugging When driving Always

Idle's fine untill I put it in drive or reverse, then it chugges almost to a stall, and will stall from time to time. its a friends car and it has to much transmission fluid in it. replaced fuel filter,vacume hoses are in the right places thats how we got it to Idle in park the rotor is about one sixteenth of a inch away from the contact pionts as it spins.new plugs and wires two plugs are already tuning black gaped at 0.35 ,I don't no where to start the trouble shooting.
