My Dodge Tradesman has a front HOOD LOCK, the first ONE, STUCK by a small size chain put around the top and bottom to keep out criminals. The chain is stuck IN THE FRONT, the first one, LOCK part under the middle of the hood. It has been in this condition for a long time. I need SUPPORT on the SHAPE and MOTION of the first front lock with the lever opener. I need to learn HOW BEST TO RELEASE THE STUCK LOCK from the chain protecting the Dodge Tradesman truck of mine at the first lock and, thus, unlock it. I am willing to pay for the successful release of the lock in a reasonable way.

The best way to remove it is to go under the bumper area, and unbolt the latch assy. It night be easier to also unbolt the rad/fan shroud and the fan. Also if you have a small friend, who is mechanically inclined that would help!
If I remember correctly, the grille unscrews from the front, so that would help.
The chain idea is ok, but remount it to one side of the hood, where it will keep out of the way of the latch...
