2001 Ford Fiesta Engine

New User Asked -
I had to have a reconditioned engine a few weeks ago. Since then the garage have had the car back twice, the first time the oil filter was faulty and the second time there was a small dripping leak. i got my car back yesterday and after it was parked for 10 hours I noticed a small patch of fresh oil underneath it. The garage had told me they had found this leak. I was just wondering if it was possible the garage could overfill it in some way and this was just surplus oil dripping and it's not a leak at all? Any advice would be appreciated

Hello and thank you for your question,
Over filling the oil usually would not end up dripping from the motor with the engine off,as the motor is a sealed unit.Overfilling the oil and running the motor could cause excessive oil pressure and blow out an oil seal. You might want to take alook at the bottom of the motor and see what area the leak is dripping from.. Could be a loose or bad gasket on the drain plug, loose oil filter...or faulty front or rear seal. Thanks again

1997 Ford Fiesta Fuel System Hesitating When accelerating Always

New User Asked -
1.25 Zetec, 94,000 miler. Sudden chugging down motorway and loss of speed, replaced fuel filter for the first time and used injector cleaner. Now 90% better.
Problem is when blipping accelerator quickly from idling, revs seem to do the opposite and die down for longer than usual say half a second, picks up after the initial air intake. Worse when cold, but once going along it's virtually unoticeable. revs die if the accelerator is pressed too quickly at low revs also dies/limits coming upto 5000rpm (been doing this for months while accelerating through exactly 4500, so high it's never been a major prob).
Renewed Plugs, Leads, Fuel & air filter. Suspect Throttle sensor mis-aligned or Air mass sensor dodgy. Very consistant fault never cuts out and is drivable if I take it easy pulling away with enough rev! (1500)
Any ideas whats holding me up ??
Thanks in advance, Neil.

Have you tried cleaning the Air mass sensor. Use electrical cleaner and gently clean the filament. Also inspect all the duct work for leaks. Check for vacuum leaks.
Have you checked fuel pressure?
Other than this you will need diagnostic tools to check tps and other sensors. Or check sensors with a multi-meter.
