How do I replace the window motor of the passerger side, 2.7L V6 Tiburon. I need the process as I have removed the pannel but can't remove the regulator as it's behind the door frame........Help!!!!!!!

Hello, You have the inside trim panel off the door, right?

Have you disconnected the door glass from the regulator? Have you taken the seven bolts out that retain the regulator to the door and unplugged the motor wiring connector?

Do you see the Tooling Hole Cover in the door and have you removed it for access to the regulator? It's just to the rear of the speaker hole in the door.

With the tooling hole cover off you should be able to get the regulator to come out of the door.

Did you have to buy the regulator with motor as an assembly or, can the motor be serviced alone?

I have purchased the Motor, and will have to purchase the regulatopr because I tried to remove it blind and screwed up the plastic wheel. I thought I coould replace the motor alone, but I think I have to remove the whole regulator to re-attach it to the motor. I can unplug the motor easily and I will have to get the cables to the regulator replaced as well, as they have a pinch which will obstruct the process. Is there a step-by-step process for the replacement of the motor alone without the regulator?

Taking your time is the best way. I will first try to get the regulator so that the glass sash will be about half way.

Then I attach the motor to the regulator and insert the assembly into the door and bolt it in place. Connect the wiring connector to the motor.

Hook up the window control switch, turn the key on and move the regulator to a position that permits tools to access and tighten the glass sill attaching points.

Install the glass assembly to the regulator and test window operation through the full range of travel.

If all checks okay, reassemble the door as required.
