the q coughs and hiccups under part throttle when warm. runs great cold. under extremely light throttle it runs good when warm but as soon as i dig into it a little it starts to miss bad. if i throttle it hard it seems to clean up considerably but i still notice a substantial loss of power

Any check engine light at any time while the engine is running?

The common causes are the TPS (throttle position sensor) and MAF (airflow sensor).

Plug wires and coils can also cause a stumble/misfire on accel., if a tune-up is overdue always start here.
