I'm seeking electrical connections to the Fujitsu model 122001-3580A101 radio (Premium audio system 3580)that came from my Isuzu 2001 Rodeo so the radio can go into another vehicle. The back of the radio has one 12 pin male plug and one 16 pin male plug, plus antenna connection. Need proper connections for speakers and power please, or just electrical diagram for the isuzu. thanks
Roger -
Hello, What is your email address? I'll send you the wiring diagram for the radio.
Thanks,
Roger

Hi, Were you happy with the schematic? If we are finished here please click OK to finish up.
Car suddenly won't start, I hear buzzing coming from what I think is the fuel pump and a clicking noise from what sounds like the firewall from inside the vehicle. I have switched around fuses and starter and Ignition relays with others that are the same model but still nothing.
Douglas -
What does happen, does the starter crank the engine?
Is there a security or theft light, does it start blinking (if applicable)?
New User -
Starter does nothing n, no theft lifts and the check engine light has been on 4 years, no one seems to be able to get it to go off.
Douglas -
Okay, you'll have to test for positive voltage at the large post on the starter. If you have that (likely) remove the small wire from the starter solenoid and check for postive voltage (an assistant will be needed to turn the key to the start position while the other observes the voltmenter/test light). If you have this and still no starter, the starter itself appears bad. Your local autoparts store can test it free of charge.
Note- Some people will smack the starter with a thick stick, etc and sometimes restore function. There is a small risk of damaging a good component with this method.
New User -
OK Thanks, will check it out
Douglas -
OK, get back to me. If you get it started we'll take a shot at the check engine light.
when driving i can hear a squeeking noise. this just started happening all of a sudden
Roger -
Hello, Does the noise cease if the brakes are applied and return when you release the brakes while rolling? That could be a brake wear sensor telling you that brake pads are needed.
1998 Isuzu Rodeo Electrical / Lighting Systems When braking Always
New User Asked -
When I hit either turn signal both turning lights are flashing and when I hit my brakes both turning lights are coming on solid. Have replaced the turn signal switch, the flasher bulb, and the brakelight switch.
encsisme -
My friend, you have a short in the system... one of the hardest items to find. You will want to locate the where the harness leave the dash area and heads for the trunk area. Follow the wires looking for burns, cut insulation or discoloration on the wire. This is not fun but once you find the bad spot you will not have trouble repairing it. I also recommend getting a multimeter to help you find the ground. Good luck. AL
1998 Isuzu Rodeo Electrical / Lighting Systems Won't Start When starting Always
New User Asked -
Vehicle has power to all accessories when key is in accessory position but when key is turned to start, all power is shut off.
Douglas -
You can check battery cables, grounds, fuses, etc. but you probably have a bad ignition switch if all power is lost (check engine light, etc) when you turn the key to the start position.
New User -
Vehicle would not even jump start and the battery cables didnt look bad, but ran a wire brush over them and re-attached the battery and it started, atleast for now. Thanks
Douglas -
It may be that reset from disconnecting the battery cables returned things to normal. Let me know.
When I turn the key to start the vehicle, it only clicks once and the instrument lights go out and the vehicle will not crank.
Roger -
Hi You describe what may be as simple as a bad cable connection at the battery or a bad battery.
Are the cable ends clean and tight? Does the battery have a full charge?
Roger
New User -
Yes the battery ends are clean. (We replaced them) Also the battery has a full charge. We put a new battery in place and put the old battery in another vehicle. The battery worked good in it. There was a lite whisp of smoke near the firewall on the passenger side. Between the engine and the wheel well. Feel free to call if you want. [redacted] . David
Roger -
Whisp of smoke? Has a fusible link burned? Can you verify power arrives on the wire to the starter solenoid when the key is in the start position?
Roger
New User -
I haven't put a tester on the solenoid. I will have to do that this evening. There is no fuseable link that I know of. If this was a 94 Chevy Truck, I'd know what to do, but this one has me confused. If I don't have power to solenoid what should I check next? If I DO have power then what?
Roger -
Power should come from the ignition switch when held in the start position. If it is there and the starter does nothing the solenoid/starter has the problem.
If power does not arrive at the solenoid when the key is in the start position the ignition electrical switch, it's connector, and the wiring is suspect. You can verify the wire continuity to the solenoid from the ignition switch, If okay, replace the switch.
Roger
New User -
I will check it all this evening and get back to you tomorrow morning. Is that ok?
Roger -
Sure, I check this site for updates between local tasks everyday. I'll look for your next message.

Hello Roger. Last night we stripped back the casing of the positive cable and it was corroded. So, we cut that out, reconnected the terminal connection and it fired up. Thanks for your help.

Good work! To close the question please click on OK to finish up.
the temperature guage sits below cold while the car is in idle, it then slightly goes up on acceleration. Do I have a faulty gauge, or do I have an air leak in my engine?
Douglas -
You could have a fault gauge or temp sensor.
If you turn on the heater (temp set to hot) is the heater hot while the gauge is cold?
If you feel the radiator hoses, are they reflective of the temperature on the gauge, or are they hot while the gauge reads cold? Turn the engine off to check them.
As for the air leak, make sure the coolant level is full (check the radiator and reservoir with a cold a engine).
New User -
The radiator hoses are hot and the fluids look good, the heater runs hot air while the gauge is still on cold. Anything else I can check or easily relplace? I did check fuses just in case. Would I be ruining my engine if I drive it until I can get it to a mechanic, of course I am to drive out of town on business tomorrow!
Douglas -
If the heater is hot and the radiator hoses are at operating temperature (not to hot or cold) I cannot see a problem with continuing to drive the vehicle. You could try a new temp sensor if the price isn't to high (contact your local parts store or dealer parts department to get a price).
97 Rodeo won't start. Replaced the oxygen sensor but it did not help.
macconeck -
were you having any problems before?
how many mile on the car?
what were the symptoms before replacing the oxygen sensor?
why did you replace it
is the car cranking at all and not starting
what size engine do you have?
I have a 95 rodeo. 5 speed 4x4. It wont start. We have tested the clutch and thats not it. All the lights turn on but it does nothing. The started relay does click. We can pop the clutch by push starting and it fires right up but we cannot start it by the ignition.
I think it is some kind of anti theft but I cannot find it. Do you know where it is?
What else could it be?
Thanks
Than
macconeck -
You will likely need to clean your battery posts and the battery will hold a charge.
If you have your batt tested and find that it is good then you may want to test the cable connections on your starter also.
If your batt is good and the cables tight your can have a malfunctioning starter
The click is actually a good sign that it is a connection problem.
I hope this helps
New User -
That was it. One of the wires to the starter was loose. Wiggled it and it fired right up.
there's a sort of rattling/grinding sound I'm hearing which comes on from 0-40mph. don't hear it when I'm running faster than that, not that it's gone, maybe it's just a little softer and/or subdued by the engine/drag noise. The guy at the brake place said my brake pads are not worn out, maybe close. he said that maybe something is loose inside the brake system. The sound does stop when I step/tap on the brakes. thank you for your help
heavychevy -
Hello
Out of balance rotor sounds like or you have some raised spots on it. To test jack tire off ground than rotate wheel and listen for it. You may have to get new rotors or get those turned by a machine(more or less shaving the metal smooth.

When driving, my co2,gas and battery lights on the dash all come on, my heater fan stops and my voltage drops. I have replaced the alternator and gotten a new battery. When I accelerate, the lights sometimes go out, but the voltage does not increase. Help!!! I love my Rodeo
kaptnzog -
Was this a new alternator or a re-built?Have the electrical system checked. One of your local parts chain stores(Pep Boys,Auto Zone etc)usually do this for free or at a nominal charge.Ive seen where some re-builts just dont live up to their standards.
New User - Douglas -
Check to see if the belt is slipping.
YOu may have a bad alternator, it happens.
Clean battery terminals, engine/body grounds, and connections at the alternator.
1992 Isuzu Rodeo Electrical / Lighting Systems Malfunction When driving No pattern
New User Asked -
Hi - I have a 1992 Rodeo. The fuse for the engine/Rear L keeps blowing. When it blows the car dies and the fuse must be replaced before it will start again. It happened 3 times in about 30 minutes and now when I try to replace the fuse it blows immediatly so the car won't start at all. Any ideas to try? Thank you.
Roger -
Hello, Do you have an Owner's Manual that tells what system/circuit this blown fuse protects?
Is the name of the fuse REAR L ?
Please advise,
Roger
New User -
Hi Roger - The fuse is identified as "engine, back L". We have replaced the back up light bulbs, but that didn't help. When you turn the key on it blows the fuse. It does turn over, but will not start. The battery sounds good and the headlights, flashers, interior lights ect all work. Thanks for your help, Penny
Roger -
Okay, I'll get a wiring diagram and see what all this fuse powers. I'll have to go to the city to research this for you. I don't have a manual here at home.
Do you have an Owner's Manual that has this info?
Roger
New User -
Sorry - we don't have an owner's manual. Bought the car used and the previous owner didn't have it.
Roger -
Not to worry, I'll be where I can get the info in the morning and get this query up to speed. I am in the CDT Time Zone.
Roger
Roger -
Okay, I have the data I need. Differences exist in the systems protected by Fuse #8 (10 amp) by which engine your vehicle has.
Basically when fuse 8 is blown the fuel injectors will not receive power.
What engine do you have, please? Do you have a FAX number I can send info to? Would a cover sheet be needed?
Fuse #8 protects:
Charging System, Backup Lights, Fuel Injection, Cruise control and Brake Lights.
Please advise,
Roger
New User -
Hi again - the engine is not fuel injected, it has a carburetor. I think it is the 6 cyl one. Thanks, Penny
New User -
Roger - I forgot to give you the fax #. It is [redacted] . You will not need a cover and it is not a dedicated fax line, so just hit send. Thanks again, Penny
Roger -
I'll send the FAX within the hour when I get back home.
You will need to study material related to one of the following engines:
2.6L, 3.1L, or 3.2L
Roger
Roger -
Penny, Let me know how to guide you. It looks like the Fuse Panel for the 3.1L & 3.2L model copy was cut short. The only difference I see is the 2.6L model does not have the power window circuit breaker at the bottom.
Will you be doing this diagnosis? I know you'll want to consider unplugging these different systems to isolate the cause of the short. I'd recommend the easy stuff first, like the computer (runs the fuel injection) and a good look at any trailer hitch wiring for damage.
Since the fuse blows before you can select reverse it is probably not the back up lights. Turn the cruise "OFF". Did that help? Unplug and recheck till you zero in on the problem source. I substitute a 10 amp circuit breaker for the fuse while testing to keep from using a bunch of fuses. The circuit breaker will cool down and reset itself and you can keep going.
Roger
Roger -
What is happening here, please?
Roger
New User -
Hi again - I have been out of town for a few days and the car had to wait. I will get back to you. Penny
1992 Isuzu Rodeo Engine Won't Start Happens sometimes When warm
New User Asked -
Engine starts fine when cold and will run indefinitely. Can always be restarted immdediately after the ignition is shut off when warm. However, after the vehicle sits for 15 minutes or so, the engine will turn over but will not start. If allowed to sit until the engine has cooled, it starts and runs fine again.
encsisme -
When u state the engine will turn over does it turn over at a normal rate or very slow? Also does the amount of gas in the tank have any effect on this problem? Let me know. AL
New User -
The engine turns over normally whether hot or cold. The amount of gas in the tank doesn't seem to be a factor.
encsisme -
Great. When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? It seems like possibly vapor lock. Then next time u have the truck not start open the gas cap and see if u hear a vaccum or pressure.. and with the cap off see if the truck will start. We will go from there.
New User -
The fuel filter is brand new. It was the first thing I replaced when the problem appeared. There is a release of pressure when I open the gas cap but the engine will not start with the gas cap removed.
encsisme -
Without actually seeing the truck I am sorry I dont have a better direction for you. Please release the the question and good luck. Thank you for using the service. Al
