The headlights will start flashing like the theft alarm has been tripped even though it is not set. This happens while driving also. Turn signals do not flash with the headlights, however.

It sounds like a problem with the theft or body control module. You can try to follow the reset procedure in your owners manual, but likely will have to take it in so it can be put on a scanner.
